'Bones' Season 9 Spoilers: The Aftermath of Pelant's Reign
“Bones” is well into its ninth season, so let’s take sometime to look back on its first ten episodes. Booth and Brennan finally tied the knot, the wedding episode was a major hit, the unbeatable duo have proven again and again that they still got moves, and Pelant’s reign has finally come to a dramatic close.
With Pelant gone, there’s room for new villains to keep Booth and Brennan distracted, but the show has yet to wrap up several loose ends regarding his storyline. In particular, fans are asking if “Bones” will ever revert back to the tampered alarm clock, and as a matter of fact, it will.
“We will eventually find out what 447 and the alarm clock meant… or mean,” executive producer Stephen Nathan tells TVLine. “But the series is a long way from being over. Remember, it took a while to find out what Brennan wrote to Booth when she was buried in the car. Patience.”
As fans wait ‘patiently’ for the answer, there are new and exciting cases on the horizon to keep them occupied. On Dec. 6, after the show takes a brief hiatus to allow fans to trample other frantic customers during the Black Friday pandemonium, Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney will make her “Bones” debut. She’ll play a gymnast (to no one’s surprise) who is suspected of foul play. The episode, titled “The Spark in the Park,” will unfold as follows.
“The Jeffersonian team investigates the murder of a nationally ranked gymnast, whose remains were hit by lightning and scattered throughout a public park. Although evidence points to a fellow gymnast (guest star Maroney) as the key suspect, Brennan and Booth discover the victim was leading a double life. Meanwhile, Booth gets upset when Brennan shows surprising empathy for the victim’s father (guest star Richard Schiff), and Cam confronts the woman who stole her identity.”
“Bones” airs on Friday nights on Fox.
