Watch 'Fast and Furious 7' New Trailer in HD Plus Release Date, Cast & Plot Details
After years of preparation, "Fast and Furious 7" is now coming to theaters and the production company has released the film's newest trailer, Coming Soon reported.
The franchise stars Vin Diesel, the late Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, James Wan, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Elsa Pataky, Michelle Rodriguez and Lucas Black.
The star-studded cast is joined by Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, Tony Jaa, and John Brotherton. Iggy Azalea will also have a cameo on the film.
The gang has expressed their excitement for the show. Diesel posted a "throwback" snapshot of the film's prequel just recently. The photo featured him, and the characters Brian O' Connor and Mia Toretto. This was the scene from the film back when Diesel did not know about Walker's undercover gig yet, as reported by IBTimes. This photo has already garnered about 1.7 million likes.
On Feb. 6, Diesel posted another picture which was one of the posters for the film, featuring him facing Walker.
On his Facebook account, the photo had a caption, "Our objective was to make Paul Walker proud... After watching Furious 7, and his timeless performance... we realized that it was Paul, who made all of us... so very proud."
Other crew members also expressed their appreciation to the late star. Gibson, Roman Pearce in the film, posted a picture of him together with Walker on his Facebook profile.
"Less than 50 days away......... This whole world is about to be effect by your effect..... Love you P and miss you very much..... #April3rd #TheLastRidem," wrote Gibson.
Paul Walker died in a car accident on Nov. 30, 2013, while on his way home from a charity event. "Fast and Furious 7" had already started filming when he passed away.
The production decided to retain Walker's contributions to the film but they had to tweak the script. It was also reported that they added a special tribute to the actor. His character, Brian O' Connor, will meet his demise in latest installment.
To fill in the gaps, his brothers, Caleb and Cody, served as stand-ins for Walker's remaining scenes, according to Forbes.
The 25-year-old Cody "isn't a replacement for Paul in any way, but the producers were really grateful that he stepped in to help them finish this last film and Cody is so likeable and charming," according to Daily Mail.
The site also added that his contribution would be a tribute to his brother since he will carry "the Walker name in the 'Fast and The Furious' Movies."
"Fast and Furious 7" will hit the theaters on April 3.
