Nokia Lumia 525 Specs Confirmed: Nokia Reveals Lumia 525 Windows Phone 8 Smartphone for Select Markets [Video]
The Nokia Lumia 525 has arrived, and it's touting "More style. More Fun."
Nokia has confirmed its latest smartphone sporting a 4-inch screen with 800x480 resolution at 235 pixels per inch.
According to Nokia, the Lumia 525 has an internal storage capacity of 8GB with 1GB of RAM. A microSD card slot is available on the device for an additional 64GB of memory as well as 7GB of free cloud storage.
The wireless connectivity for the Lumia 525 includes Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n.
In regards to battery life, the Lumia 525 has a removable battery with 1,430mAh. The battery power on the device provides up to 14 days of maximum standby time and 10.6 hours of talk time if under a 3G network.
The Lumia 525 utilizes the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core 1GHz processor.
The new Nokia smartphone has a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with 720p HD recording capabilities at 30 frames per second.
In regards to availability, the Lumia 525 will apparently only hit the African, Asian Pacific, and Middle East markets. A specific release date was not disclosed but is expected to be released by mid-December with a suggested retail price of $200.
To coincide with the confirmation of the latest Lumia smartphone, Nokia premiered a new advertisement showing the device. Nearly one-minute in length, the Lumia 525 video shows the smartphones in various positions. The video showcases the Lumia 525's display, photography menu, music, apps, and more.
The debut of the Lumia 525 comes less than a week after Nokia launched the Lumia 1520 smartphone in various markets such as the Europe and the United States on Nov. 22.
