'Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain’ PC Release Date, Trailer & Gameplay: Earlier Launch Expected [Rumors]
If we are to measure the amount of time needed to juice some more patience before "The Phantom Pain" arrives, the least we could say is five months -- that is, if reports bear absolute truth.
Rumor 1: Q3 2015
As stated on Attack of the Fanboy's previous article, Konami's financial report has revealed that a number of games are scheduled to arrive in Q3 2015. "The Phantom Pain," apparently, is one of them.
If it's out in Q3, then the earliest month we could think of is July, which should be five months from now. Otherwise, we could also remain seated until September. That would be a total bummer.
Rumor 2: Just "A Little Longer"
One Kojima Productions rep has reportedly confirmed that the wait time for the game's launch will only be "a little longer." It has also been said that adjustments and final debugging were underway, which only suggested the scent of a launch date crisp in the air.
"I know you've all been eagerly await for word on releasing timing. I think we should be able to announce that soon, so look forward to that. It's only a little longer," the rep said.
Rumor 3: Konami Annoyed
Nobody wants uncertain release dates, but it's even more ironic to find out that Konami people themselves are mad about TPP's release. How is that possible?
In a more recent report, Attack of the Fanboy cited Tora Shiro's remarks, Konami exec, "Not being able to announce a release date is just as annoying on our side. HQ gonna HQ a little longer."
So, is this a fair situation after all? Who has the final say?
Rumor 4: The Final Say
As told by KDramaStars, Shiro has admitted that it's all up to Konami Japan. Nevertheless, the outlet took note of Cyberland's report, which claimed that the release has been set to November 2015.
As you can see, the information seems to be a delay. The source noted it's because Kojima "wants to release a finished game" rather than one infested by bugs.
In the meantime, while we all wait for more concrete info, check out TPP's gameplay demo here, here and here.
"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is slated to arrive for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, IGN informed.
How long have you been waiting for TPP? If November's release is all true and perfect, would you still prefer an earlier launch? Sound off in the comments section.
