HTC One M9 Release Date, Specs, Features & Price: ‘Hima’ Not Coming?
HTC's next entry in the smartphone arena will launch as HTC One M9, according to a reliable tipster.
As told by TechRadar, the information comes from @upleaks, who said in a tweet, "Confirmed: HTC Hima will be going to the market with marketing name HTC One M9."
That said, prospects might just start ditching "Hima" out of the rumored device's name. TechRadar is convinced that HTC maintains "M9" in brackets.
Last week, an image of alleged HTC One M9 units has leaked over the Internet, much to the excitement of anticipating followers. This time, GSMArena saw the upcoming flagship, sporting a golden ensemble. Leave the premium feel to HTC as things get closer to the device's release!
The smartphone is scheduled to launch at the next Mobile World Congress, Know Your Mobile reported. The outlet added that the handset will "apparently be joined" by HTC's first wearable, suggested to be a smartwatch.
HTC has already sent invites for a special event happening on Mar. 1, TechRadar said in another report. The source also mentioned the likes of Samsung Galaxy S6, Sony Xperia Z4 and LG G4 as potential lineup.
Preliminary and unofficial specs of the HTC One M9 were listed by GSMArena in another article. The device is expected to arrive with a measurement of 144.3 x 69.4 x 9.6 mm (5.68 x 2.73 x 0.38 in) and a 5-inch, Super LCD3 capacitive touchscreen. Such display is suggested to pack a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
Another version of the display speculation puts the device at 5.2 inches, Stuff cited. This yields a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, housing a density of 564 ppi.
In terms of processor, GSMArena took note of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 -- packed with quad-core Cortex-A53 (clocked at 1.5 GHz) and quad-core Cortex-A57 (clocked at 2 GHz) CPU.
Main camera is tipped to be 20.7 MP, featuring autofocus, dual tone flash, simultaneous video and image recording (automatic), geo-tagging, face / smile detection, HDR and panorama. Its selfie snapper, on the other hand, is rumored to capture at 4 MP.
Other purported specs include Adreno 430 GPU, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, up to 128 GB microSD support, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0 and Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
