'Terminator 5: Genisys' Super Bowl Commercial in HD & New Poster Released!
Paramount Pictures has released the Super Bowl television spot of "Terminator Genisys" on Friday, and also released a brand new poster featuring the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, IGN reported.
Paramount released the trailer ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl game and it stars Schwarzenegger in action as the T-800 a.k.a. the Terminator. They also released one of the official posters for the film, which again has Schwarzenegger and the words "HE'S BACK."
"I'll be back," the Terminator says in the trailer, delivering his famous line to "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke, who plays Sarah Connor. Then he jumps out of an aircraft and straight into an explosion.
He was also seen getting out of a cop's car and jumping into action, and also saving Clarke from falling off the Golden Gate Bridge. "G.I. Joe" actor Byung-hun Lee was also spotted as the menacing T-1000, who steps out of the flames.
The trailer also shows Schwarzenegger as two versions of the Terminator: an older version, which comes with new silver hair, and a younger version, which was rendered with some CGI effects and looks similar to the original 1984 film, according to Daily Mail.
Schwarzenegger previously stated that he already expected a new film to be made and wasn't surprised when he got the call. He said, "I knew eventually that another Terminator was going to get made. People always have to go through that painful experience of doing a sequel, or something like that, without me.
"If a movie is made well, if it's a great character, if it's well acted out, then people are going to come and see it. It's so simple," he said.
Clarke, who takes part in some action and running scenes in the film, has also said before that she was "embarrassed" over the running scenes.
"That's an embarrassing day when you look at yourself and think, 'Oh yeah, I look like an idiot. I should fix that,'" she said.
"Terminator Genisys" is the fifth film in the "Terminator" franchise following 2009's "Terminator Salvation."
Schwarzenegger, Clarke and Lee will be appearing alongside Jason Clarke ("Dawn of the Plante of the Apes") as John Connor, Jai Courtney ("Spartacus") as Kyle Reese, and will also be joined by Matt Smith ("Doctor Who"), Dayo Okeniyi ("The Hunger Games") and Courtney B. Vance ("Law & Order") and many more.
"Terminator 5" is slated for a theatrical release on July 1, 2015 and is directed by Alan Taylor and written by James Cameron, Laeta Kalogridis, Gale Anne Hurd and Patrick Lussier.
