Chicharito Hernandez Transfer News & Rumors: Where to After Real Madrid?
Real Madrid would not be retaining Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez in the team. He is currently on a season-long loan from Manchester United and on the line for a permanent transfer to Real Madrid. According to Sports World News, there's a strong possibility that the 26-year-old athlete will return to Manchester United when the season comes to an end.
Emilio Butragueno, Real Madrid's director of institutional services, wasn't optimistic about Hernandez's future in the team.
"It is Carlo [Ancelotti's] decision," Butragueno said, as quoted by Sports World News. "Javier trains well and is a great professional, but without any doubt the competition for places is very tough."
As pointed out by the news outlet, there's a huge possibility that Louis van Gaal would not be welcoming Hernandez warmly. Italian club Juventus is rumored to be interested in hiring van Gaal.
Hernandez was allowed to have a £6m signing back in 2010 to Real Madrid by van Gaal after Radamel Falcao arrived at Old Trafford last September, The Telegraph reported.
The footballer, struggling to make an impact, started just one league game for the European champions even after being placed in a squad role by manager Carlo Ancelotti. Real Madrid actually has an option to sign up the Mexican forward to the team, but no permanent deal has been reached about his standing, the news outlet noted.
He was indeed overlooked by van Gaal. As a result, efforts should be made in order to find "a buyer for a player who has been unable to reproduce the form that saw him score 20 goals in 45 games during his debut campaign at the club in 2010-11," The Telegraph added.
Hernandez had to compete against the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, James Rodriguez, and Gareth Bale at the Bernabéu, Express Online wrote. He only managed to earn 170-minutes worth of La Liga playing time.
Hernandez could go to any of Europe's top leagues, but more creative transfers are available to ensure that his name would rise to distinction. Listed below are three teams that the athlete could go to, as reported by Sports World News.
Chivas Guadalajara
It's no secret that Chivas Guadalajara has been struggling to remain in Mexico's first division, as is Hernandez. A reunion between the team and the Mexican forward could rekindle the fire of both of their reputations.
Chicago Fire
Major League Soccer is known for overpaying their players, including Michael Bradley ($6.5 million) Jozy Altidore ($5.5 million) and Sebastian Giovinco ($7.2 million), for example. Signing Hernandez on could help the league obtain the much desired "world-renown relevance."
PSV Eindhoven
Hernandez needs to score goals in order to boost his ranking, while "defending is optional in the Eredivisie." The Netherlands' football club requirements, Europe and Champions League minutes and titles, are a great opportunity for the footballer to enhance his confidence.
