LeBron 12 'Court Vision' 2015 Release Date: Price, Photos & Where to Buy in February
Optical art is the selling point for the newest iteration of the LeBron 12, "Court Vision," which begins selling on Feb. 4 in select retailers and online shops worldwide.
A black colorway with pops of eye-catching bright crimson and dynamic white detailing throughout the Megafuse base, the model will sell at Nike.com for $200.
Sale of the LeBron James entry will begin at 10 a.m. EST (7 a.m. PST), with customization options.
"LeBron's court vision is unparalleled. His eyes are constantly moving, seeing every part of the floor," said the Nike.com's description of the shoe, coded 684593-016. The model was designed to materialize that skill through optical art patterns on the Hyperposite quarter panel, it noted.
Given the treatment, the Hyperposite overlay running over the collar, rear and vamp is "more detailed, even ornate, than the usual ebony finish," commented Nike Blog, assuring collectors that the units are lightweight. The white lines appear like a net over the construction.
The crimson is used for the heel tab, laces and brand logos. The LeBron emblem, at the tongue and heel, are in red and white. The Swoosh appears four times in the pair. The outsole is transluscentt and employs Zoom Air cushioning.
"This may be the most clean, classically styled colorway of the LeBron 12 to date," Nike Blog added, although still carrying Jan. 31 as the release date. Sole Collector said: "The pair ends up as one of the more literal LeBron 12s to date."
It may be ordered through Kixify and eBay, the report added. It can also be had on Feb. 4 at Villa.
On Sole Collector, 91 percent of voters said they would cop "Court Vision." At Sneaker News, the model has a 4.63/5 rating. Two comments love the look of the shoes, saying "It's beautiful" and "I'm have to grab these." However, one noted that the overindulged icy-blue outsole was a deal-breaker.
Sole Collector has an extensive discussion on the pricing.
"I like these joints...the only other ones I really like are the Dunkman but that 200 is still stopping me from copping," said one. Another replied: "I feel the same way as both shoes are dope to me I don't mind paying $200 as long as they're comfortable. I'm paying $200 for retros with outdated tech."
NY Yeti said: "I like the shoe... I don't like the price and I am getting tired of so many color-ways of these kicks."
There are raves, of course. According to another commenter, it is the first time a shoe made for playing on-court looked passable for going out for gimmicks.
"Wow, the first good colorway of the lebron 12's," said ILikeF0ams. The note is echoed by Will W. Martin, who said, "Its the first 12 that really works. There's just something about this model that doesn't lend itself to wild colorways (which is the opposite of the 11 that preceded it which was RIPE for that)."
