'Clash of Clans' January 2015 Update Coming Soon? [Rumors]
Rumors have it that Supercell's massively multiplayer online strategy game "Clash of Clans" is going to receive a new update soon with Town Hall 11, gems, characters, maps and more, The Fuse Joplin reported.
"Clash of Clans" is a freemium mobile game that was originally released by Helsinki-based video game company Supercell in August 2012 for the iOS and September 2013 for the Android, before becoming available on Google Play in October 2013, The Guardian reported. The objective of the game is to build a community, train one's troops, attack other players in order to gain elixir and gold and defend one's community.
Since it released, the game has been positively received worldwide, but if speculations are to be believed Supercell is looking at ways to amp up the game.
Some of the updates that are said to be happening are going to feature Town Hall 11 and perhaps the one gem boost active that was discontinued on Jan.7 due to maintenance break, according to Product Reviews Net. Other additions are possibly a brand new hero or new characters, more walls added to the map and possibly new hero levels with around 25 to 50 additions, the outlet added.
Feedback from players has also been helping shape the game, according to Master Herald.
Town Hall 11 in particular has been one of the most highly requested additions. Players are also interested in being able to upgrade a row of walls with one move using elixir, when previous versions only allowed gold, Master Herald continued. Players are also interested in being able to see their attacker's level and what types of units they are using.
Given that "Clash of Clans" is said to be played by over eight million players a day, hopefully Supercell will be able to deliver the new update.
The new update is expected to roll out sometime soon especially as Supercell already finished its maintenance break and can hopefully work on the update. The company has been consistent on informing their players of any news with the game though, so players can only wait patiently for the rumors to be confirmed and more news on the update to be revealed.
For now, interested parties can try out the game, which is available in Google Play and iTunes.
Those who are interested to get the game on their PCs can also try out the installation instructions provided by The Next Digit. An Android emulator for PCs has been provided by YouWave and players need only a minimum of 2GB of RAM. Next, download and install the YouWave file to run it. However, the software is available for only a one month free trial, but if satisfied, gamers can purchase it for $19.99.
