Kobe Bryant Injury Update: Lakers Star Hangs Out With Anderson Silva in Paintball Park
Days after suffering an injury on his rotator cuff, Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant was seen hitting up a popular paintball park in LA with renowned UFC fighter Anderson Silva.
On his Instagram account, the returning UFC fighter posted a photo of him and his sons together with Bryant at the Hollywood Sports park in Bellflower, California on Saturday. The photo comes with the caption: "Me and my sons came to @hollywoodsports where we play paintball every other weekend and once again, had the opportunity to see our great friend @kobebryant."
But it was obvious that Bryant was not dressed for combat as he was wearing white shirt and jeans alongside with Silva and his kids who were in full battle gear.
Silver Screen and Roll said that Bryant may still be nursing his current injury and that he was in the paintball park to purchase some items for his daughter Natalias's "Hunger Games"-themed party.
Bryant's wife, Vanessa, posted the things they bought for the paintball party of their daughter on her Instagram account.
"Natalia's 12th birthday party!?ï¿°ï¾#TheHungerGames#District12 #PaintBall Thx @MissENW and@Cuthbertroad for making another one of my party theme collages come to life! I love the themes my girls choose for their birthdays! #SoFun @Cinderellacakesthanks for the fabulous birthday cake?, @Timree thanks for making our matching family tee-shirts extra glittery ?and #TonyFlorezPhotography for being such a trooper and taking great photos in the midst of a paintball war! ?ï¿°ï¾ï¾ï¾ You guys always come through when I need your help. Last Wednesday, the LA Lakers star suffered a tear on his shoulder when he made a double dunk during the game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Coach Byron Scott told ESPN that he is already a bit concerned about what Bryant's possible absence from the team could do.
"Yeah, I'm worried. We all in the organization are worried about it," Scott said.
The report said that the injury was there already and that it was just aggravated by Bryant's move during the game.
"It felt fine when I went up, didn't feel too good when I came down," Bryant told members of the media after the game.
Scott said that his star player was already in pain and that they had to take them out of the game.
"This is one of the toughest guys I've ever been around as far as dealing with injuries and things like that and being able to come back. Everybody said he was done after the Achilles and he came back pretty strong," the coach stated, adding that it makes him sick just to think about Bryant's condition.
