Cancer Treatment Update: Best Way to Die? Curative Drug Reportedly Identified
One doctor has claimed that dying from cancer is the best form of passing.
According to The Guardian, Dr. Richard Smith's article on BMJ declared, "Cancer is the best way to die."
In his article, Dr. Smith argued that there are four ways to die: (1) a sudden death; (2) a long and slow death (i.e. dementia); (3) an "up and down" death (i.e. organ failure) and (4) death from cancer, where patients may "bang along for a long time but go down usually in weeks."
Dr. Smith believed that death from cancer gives one more time to put things in perspective and make arrangements as necessary. He also expressed recognizing this kind of death as "romantic."
"Stay away from overambitious oncologists, and let's stop wasting billions trying to cure cancer, potentially leaving us to die a much more horrible death," the doctor suggested.
While his claim triggered more debates, pharmaceutical companies are still developing the best cure for cancer. Billions of dollars have already been alloted for cancer research and treatment.
It is common knowledge that cancer has no direct and / or immediate cure, but an article cited by Sott.net claimed that scientists have already found a way to cure the illness. Unfortunately, pharmaceutical companies were said to be "not interested."
As told by the report, researchers from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada were able to cure cancer through a drug called dichloroacetate (DCA). Allegedly, the drug has been used to treat metabolic disorders, with "no concern of side / long term effects."
The article went on to indicate that DCA targets the body's mitochondria -- a cellular part reported to fight cancer on a natural level.
We have probed on the drug's background and found out that it may actually cause a number of secondary effects. The American Cancer Society (ACS) cited some studies which revealed that the drug led to drowsiness, fatigue, upset stomach and lowered blood sugar levels.
Those taking DCA for months or years were said to develop nerve damage, which potentially results to weak and numb extremities (arms and legs). Worse, the adverse effect was noted to persist even for people under Vitamin B1 supplementation.
The ACS also informed that DCA is a man-made chemical. Going by the medical name sodium dichloroacetate, it was also said to be absorbed by the human skin.
Meanwhile, engineer and nuclear physicist Yves Jongen has been pioneering a new cancer therapy, CNN reported. The method employs proton radiation, and it's expected to offer precision and less side effects.
