'Final Fantasy 15' Release Date, Gameplay & Trailer: PS4, Xbox One Game to Have 'Realistic' Monsters?

By Staff| Jan 21, 2015

It may not be for the faint of heart.

Apparently, the next installment in the long-standing "Final Fantasy" franchise could bring realistic-looking monsters, DualShockers reported. The outlet spotted Square Enix's career opportunity ad, which appeared to seek for an animator capable of bringing monsters to life -- visually.

For those who may not know, Square Enix is behind the "Final Fantasy" series. As stated on IGN's Wiki Guide, "Final Fantasy XV" is originally called "Final Fantasy Versus XIII," but Square Enix changed it during E3 2013.

The game's release date remains unknown, but Gamespot listed the PS4 and Xbox One as its platforms.

Meanwhile, the ad cited by DualShockers sought an animator who can create and animate monsters "with an eye focused on actual ecology." That said, we're not only expecting gruesome forms capable of spreading horror, but realistic beings with defined roles in the "Final Fantasy" universe.

In addition, the outlet indicated that Square Enix did not want these monsters to become mere enemies. All the more, we wonder how these creatures are going to look like!

Citing similar information, GamingBolt is convinced that much of the franchise's "spectacle and charm" came from "massive and unlikely creatures." As the outlet put it, these beings appeared to defy logic and sense, but nevertheless, exercised and showcased the games' creative imagination.

Current reports aimed at the title's realism seemed to coincide with each other. Kotaku cited a recent dialogue between Travel Garage TV and "Final Fantasy XV" lead game designer Wan Hazmer.

The outlet took note of Hazmer's remarks, "A concept of 'Final Fantasy XV' is actually, 'Fantasy based on reality... When we talk about reality here, we want to talk about no matter how far you go to the deep ends of the town, you can actually feel that they are united in design."

It was then revealed that Hazmer's inspiration has been "Back to the Future: Part II," a 1989 science fiction film.

In other news, the official PlayStation blog announced that Part 1 of Patch 2.5 for "Final Fantasy XIV" has come live. Titled "Before the Fall," the patch was expected to bring new and exciting content for PS gamers.

The patch brought new dungeons, as well as the "Keeper of the Lake." Part 2 is expected to release in March.
