'How I Met Your Mother' Season 9 Episode 11 Spoilers: Cake and Rhymes During 'Bedtime Stories'
CBS' popular comedy sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" promises to be both hilarious and interesting as the show will be relayed entirely in rhyme. The episode, which is aptly called, "Bedtime Stories," debuts on Monday.
According to a press release, during the upcoming episode Marshall is going to try help baby Marvin get some sleep by reciting three rhyming bedtime tales about his friends just as they end their epic cross-country journey. In the meantime, James Van Der Beek will return to play Robin's ex-boyfriend, Simon, while Lin-Manuel Miranda will guest star as Gus, states Hollywood Hills.
A preview showcases a few funny moments from the episode including a clip where Cobie Smulders' Robin is seen stuffing her face with cake. Another big moment from the story is the arrival of Marshall and Marvin in New York, which should be made slightly easier for him now that Sherri Shepherd has met her daughter. He will get a chance to be around the group again, but he wonders if Lily is going to inflict great bodily harm upon him over his decision to not travel with her to Italy for a year to work with the Captain, reports CarterMatt.com.
Other featured guest stars include Camille Guaty as Lisa, Marcia Ann Burrs as an Old Lady, Alfred Rubin Thompson as a Thug, Christopher Darga as a Bus Driver, and Michael C. Mahon as a Grumpy Man.
It has also been reported that CBS has struck a deal with 20th Century Fox for a spinoff of HIMYM called "How I Met Your Dad," which will be the female account of Ted Mosby's quest to find his one true love. The show will feature new characters but connect with HIMYM's main stars at the familiar locale of MacLaren's Pub, reports Time.
