Zoe Saldana Says Breasts Hurt; Seeks Help From Breastfeeding Twitter Followers
First time mother Zoe Saldana isn't keeping her pregnancy woes under the radar.
On January 11, the 36-year-old mother of twin boys Cy and Bowie expressed discomfort about breastfeeding and even asked her Twitter followers about remedies. She tweeted: "So ladies- moms... Breastfeeding moms. What do you have to say about pumping??!!! #babies #Breastfeeding #breasts hurting!!"
According to Fox News Latino, her Twitter followers were quick to give Saldana advice. Some mentioned gel pads and creams, while others "said it would get easier and less painful as time went by."
The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actress, along with her Italian husband Marco Perego, welcomed their baby boys on November 27th last year. Saldana and Perego married in a secret ceremony in London back in June 2013 after only three months of dating, Daily Mail reported.
In an appearance with the Lifetime series "The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet," Saldana stated that she would be happy to have two or three children.
"Or four or five! I don't care. They're just so delicious. I love the anxiety, the pressure of the loud room full of yapping kids," the actress said, as quoted by Daily Mail.
Saldana is definitely enjoying motherhood as she ditched the glitz and glamor of the red carpet to stay home with her family. The actress's movie, "The Book of Life", was nominated in the 72nd Golden Globe Awards Best Animated Film category but Daily Mail noted that Saldana opted to watch the awards show at home while taking care of her twin boys.
She tweeted: "It's looking like popcorn on the couch along milk bottles for the little guys while the #globes are on for us."
During her pregnancy, the actress told PEOPLE that she refuses to let the changes in her body affect her fashion style.
"Whatever it is you're feeling internally, doesn't mean that you have to look it. Make an effort and look beautiful because it's a beautiful time," Saldana said, as quoted by PEOPLE.
She also stated in the September issue of Cosmopolitan for Latinas that she plans to raise her children multi-lingual, given that she herself speaks several languages.
"Of course [our children] will speak the languages that we speak; my sisters and I grew up learning French and speaking English and Spanish, and because of that, we're able to understand Italian and Portuguese," she told the magazine, which featured her as its cover girl for that month. "But I'm going to have to make a conscious effort to speak Spanish to my children, because I speak Spanglish," Saldana said, as quoted by Access Hollywood.
