'Avengers 2' Movie News Update: Next Trailer to Feature Tony Stark With Transparent Samsung Phone!
It seems that the real world is catching up with Stark Technology, because Earth's mightiest heroes will be relying on Samsung technology in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron."
But that fact has been made clear when the exclusive official extended trailer for the film was released not too long ago, and it's showcased again in one of the biggest gadget shows of the year.
Business Insider reported that Samsung showed off some of its latest technology with devices from see-through phones and smartwatches that will be used by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) and the rest of the Avengers team in the film during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
In the transparent phone's floor description at CES 2015, the South Korean company wrote, "What type of phone does a man who has everything need? A sleek and metallic phone that features cutting edge technology designed specifically for Tony Stark.
"With a striking flexible display, the phone features two different curved panels, taking inspiration from Samsung's Galaxy Note Edge so that important information is displayed separately from the main screen. The device features a hologram glass user interface with finger print security so that even if the device gets into the wrong hands, Tony Stark's personal data stays secure and out of the hands of the enemy."
Sure, it looks amazing, but it seems that the technology is not available for sale just yet, and as BGR noted, one cannot expect to see them in stores anytime soon.
Stark's transparent phone first appeared in "Iron Man 2," but back then, Business Insider noted, it was just a fancy glass prop with an LG Electronics logo. Guess it's a good thing they never have to explain how Stark's phone switched up from LG to Samsung, but that's what Stark's billions are there for - keep conflicts hush-hush.
Samsung also gave a nod to Marvel's cinematic universe by adding a text that says they were made by both Samsung and Stark Industries -- which, as Marvel fans know, is Tony Stark's company -- on the display text of the nifty new gadgets.
Finally, Samsung also noted that the devices are "only available to members of the Avengers."
That sucks.
What do you think of the new technology that Samsung is showing off in line with the Avengers film? Do you want this type of technology available for the public, or should it stay with the Avengers only?
Or maybe wait and see what it actually does.
"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" will be in theaters this May.
