Air Jordan 4 Retro 'Columbia' Release Date, Photos, Price & Where to Buy
Nike is not giving anyone's wallet a reprieve from the Holiday extravaganza, with the Air Jordan 4 Retro "Columbia," aka "Legend Blue," slated for release on Jan. 10.
"The new year is starting off with a bang for Air Jordan fans," said The Boombox, referring to the pair, with a white base and Legend Blue and Midnight Navy accents.
Wish, which will sell the product in Atlanta, added: "Jordan Brand is going way back to the dawn of Retro+ colorways for their 2015 remastering process. Hence the return of the Air Jordan 4 'Columbia' with its lush leather build."
The remastered model is the first Air Jordan 4 Retro colorway this 2015, and is marked by extraordinary craftsmanship, The Boombox said. If Jordan Brand makes good on its promise, Wish added that the materials in the pair will be much better than the previously released pairs.
Nike.com, where it will be available Jan. 10 for $190 beginning 10 a.m. EST (7 a.m. PST), explained that the retro pair was originally released in 1999. On the online shop, it will be available at full family sizing -- grade school (3.5Y - 7Y) at $140, preschool (10.5c - 3Y) at $80, and toddler (2c-10c) at $60 -- but may be ordered at a limit of only one pair per customer.
The white leather will be premium, Nike said. They're "simple incredible," The Boombox remarked.
Wish added that the Jumpman logo on the tongue will be more detailed. It will also appear with the same detailing on the heel and the outsole.
"A closer look at the midsole reveals glittery specks on the shiny obsidian blue paneling, which is offset by the columbia blue colorway on the Jumpman logo," said The Boombox.
Sole Collector explained that previous releases of Air Jordan Retros weren't as exact as the first ones even if they sold well, and Nike has made it a point to close those loopholes with the 2015 pairs, although with a 10-15 percent increase in price.
"That's all I'm thinking. How the hell are they going to raise prices AGAIN. They just raised prices last year and improved nothing. What justifies past price increases over the last few years?" said one of the commenters. "It's a giant scheme that far too many of us are falling for."
"I don't have issue with 10-15% increase for quality, honestly. I'd like Nike Air on my 4s, really, but I know that won't happen," said SoleDesire, targetting a different issue. "What I really need is for online resellers to go ... away. And no more of this raffle shit. Nike needs to figure out how they get sneakerkats' money directly, rather than from some punk ass online."
The shoe now has 82 percent wanting it, said another Sole Collector report.
According to The Boombox: "Judging by the photos, they will be worth every penny."
