'Jurassic Park 4: World' Release Date, Cast & Trailer: 3 Plot Spoilers Revealed So Far
It's finally 2015, which means that we can finally say "Jurassic World" will be showing in theaters this year. With only a few months left before the much-awaited sequel arrives in theaters, here are a few spoilers that we definitely know about the upcoming film:
1) The film is set 22 years after the events of the original film, on the island of Isla Nublar, and you can get to it by ferry from Costa Rica. According to film director Colin Trevorrow in a report from the International Business Times, the park "has elements of biological preserve, a safari, a zoo and a theme park. There is a luxury resort with hotels, restaurants, nightlife and a golf course. And there are dinosaurs. Real ones. You can get closer to them than you ever imagined possible. It's the realization of John Hammond's dream, and I think you'll want to go there."
2) The trouble starts with a new hybrid dinosaur that went rogue, called the Diabolous Rex (or D-rex), which according to Enstarz.com, looks a lot like the classic T-rex, but more skin-colored. At least that's what it looked like when photo leaks of the new toys came up in November, and Comicbook.com got hold of an image. Unfortunately, images were removed at the request of the distributing company. Trevorrow also pointed out that they will be "bigger, louder, with more teeth," but then said that "this animal is not a mutant freak. It doesn't have a snake's head or octopus tentacles. It's a dinosaur, created in the same way the others were, but now the genetics have gone to the next level."
3) "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor, Chris Pratt, is cast as one of the main roles in the film, and he's going to be a scientist who is doing behavioral research on the Raptors, which is probably why he can be seen leading a bunch of them to save the island in some released photos. Trevorrow told Entertainment Weekly, "Chris Pratt's character is doing behavioral research on the raptors. They aren't trained, they can't do tricks. He's just trying to figure out the limits of the relationship between these highly intelligent creatures and human beings. If people don't think there's potential in those ideas, maybe they won't like this movie. But I ask them to give it a chance."
Are you excited to see the dinosaurs on the big screen again? It's going to be just a few months more as "Jurassic World" is expected to hit theaters on June 12.
