'The Walking Dead' Spinoff Setting Revealed: More Zombies to Come?

It seems that the zombies really are taking over the world, because from Atlanta, Georgia, they will cross over state lines as the spinoff for "The Walking Dead" will be taking place in LA, according to TV Line.

Zombies are going to Hollywood, and maybe some of them may want to audition for a post-apocalyptic movie at some point.

The website also said that the spinoff series will shed light on a new angle of the zombie apocalypse, possibly at a point where there are more living persons than undead ones. AMC president Charlie Collier said a few months ago, "Almost from the beginning of 'The Walking Dead,' fans have been curious about what is going on in the zombie apocalypse in other parts of the world."

It has not been made clear, however, if filming will be done in studio or on location, although the original TWD series was filmed where the story was set - in Georgia.

Fans of the Zombie Apocalypse show are not the only ones excited for the spinoff. According to Variety, TWD creator Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, and David Alpert will also be executive producers of the new show along with showrunner David Erickson, and they couldn't be more thrilled.

Kirkman previously said, "After 10 years of writing the comicbook series and being so close to the debut of our fourth, and in my opinion, best season of the TV series, I couldn't be more thrilled about getting the chance to create a new corner of 'The Walking Dead' universe."

He also added, "The opportunity to make a show that isn't tethered by the events of the comic book, and is truly a blank page, has set my creativity racing."

E! News also had news on the series itself: although most of the details are being kept under wraps, the website said that there are three confirmed cast members so far: Cliff Curtis (Fire Lord Ozai in "The Last Airbender"), Frank Dillane (Tom Riddle Jr. in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince"), and Alycia Debnam Carey (Kaitilyn from "Into the Storm"), who are all already signed in as series regulars.

TV Line also reported that the spinoff series will be a prequel of sorts, focusing on the days before zombies became rampant, and the efforts done to contain it.

What do you think of this news so far, are you ready to see Zombies run around Hollywood?
