'Game of Thrones' Season 5 Spoilers: Sansa Stark Enjoying 'Super Traumatic' Scene?
The International Business Times has just reported that filming for the fifth season of HBO's hit series, "Game of Thrones" has officially wrapped up, with a new trailer released to tide fans over until spring. However, because the series is one of the darkest in television, there is no way it's going to end up happy.
The 18-year-old Sophie Turner recently revealed in an interview that her character, Sansa Stark, is going to take a dark turn in the series.
In an interview with HeyU Guys, Sophie said that she filmed a "super, super traumatic scene." Sophie stated in the interview, "There was one scene that I did do that was super, super traumatic, and I love doing those scenes. It was just really kind of horrible for everyone to be on set, but those scenes are just kind of what feed me, that's why I started out, to do all the crappy, horrible stuff."
As Vanity Fair noted, Sansa's storyline in the series has wildly diverged from that of the book, leaving both book and series fans wondering what's in store for the eldest Stark daughter.
There are many speculations on the tragedy that Turner is referencing, and here are some of them:
1) From Vanity Fair, speculation involves a sexual assault on Sansa (from the third book) that producers cut from the show may be put back on the table. Of course, "Game of Thrones" is not exactly known for being discreet about sex, blood, and gore, but while plausible, a sexual assault on Sansa may not make such a mark in light of the Jamie/Cersei plot.
2) Game n Guide suggests that she may be the one to kill her annoying little cousin, Robin Arryn in the Eyrie at some point so that she can get to leave. Or maybe even Petyr Baelish. Maybe even a random attacker. After taking part as a cover for regicide, it is very likely that Sansa will have the guts to kill next season, or,
3) In a theory by Marie Claire, Sansa might finally be reunited with her sister, Arya (Maisie Williams), only to have something terrible happen to the two of them that may result in tragedy. After all, Arya has already seen the dark side in Season 4 when she realized she has the capacity to kill, and even left The Hound (Rory McCann) to die.
Whichever Sansa's plot will take the show next season, it's sure to be one hell of a turn that will leave the audience wanting for more.
What do you think will be Sansa's turning point next season?
