'Batman vs Superman' Release Date, Cast & Trailer: Amy Adams Talks Wonder Woman Cat Fight
The 2016 debut of the much-anticipated film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is no doubt making fans excited for everything it has to offer. Even though director Zack Snyder is not revealing major details about it, the cast of the upcoming movie provide tidbits about the characters they are portraying. Amy Adams, who is reprising her role as Clark Kent/Superman's love interest Lois Lane, recently opened up about the character's significance in the film.
Adams hinted in an interview with Collider about how Lois will fit in among the superheroes in "Batman v Superman."
"Lois is still sort of like the key to the information, you know? She's the girl going out and getting it and figuring it out and putting it together and all of that, so she's very much involved, but I kind of leave the heavy lifting to the boys, you know? So to speak," the actress told Collider.
With so many big superhero names in the film, it's definitely intriguing how Adams' character will play a part in the movie. It's a good thing that she's not the only female cast in the movie.
"It's exciting to get to bring in all these other characters and I was really excited that Gal (Gadot) was involved, because it was a nice to have another girl on set, even if we don't work together a lot, it was nice to have her there," Adams said during an interview with ComingSoon.net for her latest film, Tim Burton's "Big Eyes."
When asked by ComingSoon.net whether viewers should expect a cat fight between Lois and Wonder Woman, the actress quickly dismissed the idea. It should be noted that a romantic angle between Superman and Wonder Woman existed in the comics, and the possibility of the two superheroes getting together in the film might pose a big problem on Lois.
"They always think that if you put in another woman and automatically... 'Catfight!' No, I think that's a male fantasy thing. I don't think that's reality," she told the news outlet. "I don't know how it will turn out, if we're going to be competition, but we are not in this, I can safely say, and we're not in real life. She's just the coolest girl ever."
David Goyer and Chris Terrio are writing the screenplay of "Batman v Superman," according to Cinema Blend. Other cast members include Ray Fisher as Victor Stone a.k.a. Cyborg, Scoot McNairy as the Flash, Jena Malone as Carrie Kelley a.k.a. Robin's female version, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Jeremy Irons as Bruce Wayne/Batman's loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to hit theaters on March 25, 2016, ComingSoon.net reports.
