Rumors are circulating that the PC version of "Grand Theft Auto V" remaster is currently being developed by the team responsible for the PC port of "Max Wayne 3," DSO Gaming reports.

As stated by a report from Greek website Alt-Tab translated by DSO Gaming, "The PC version already runs at 60FPS on the PC according to a Rockstar developer that worked on 'GTA V's' online mode for all the current-gen platforms."

DSO Gaming noted that the developer did not reveal the specifications of Rockstar's testing machines. The previous version of the game, "GTA IV," did not perform well on the PC when it became available in 2008. A report from Game Debate stated that the game was a "bit of a mess" and came with a bunch of performance issues, which included "dropping frames on even the most powerful PCs at the time."

"It was one of the most CPU-limited titles around, negating multi-core setups and crippling performance," Game Debate added. There are some people already concerned that the PC performance of the upcoming "GTA V" will also suffer the same consequences just like its previous version.

However, it's good to know that the same Rockstar team is probably developing "GTA V." DSO Gaming reports that Rockstar's PC version of "Max Payne 3" was phenomenal and described by gamers as "one of the best PC versions of any game in recent years." There was better and higher visual quality in "Max Payne 3," as well as superb audio and "wide-ranging support for various antialiasing solutions," Game Debate noted.

According to Load the Game, PC gamers should also watch out for other development in "GTA V." This includes "increased resolution, graphical detail, advanced damage and weather effects, and greater draw distances, to name just a few."

Rockstar have stated before that there will be further story expansions in "GTA V." The game developer's parent company, Take Two Interactive, said that they will continue creating DLC content to keep fans hooked on their game franchises.

"I think the difference right now is that we're recognizing that this is a significant strategic asset for us to keep our consumer engaged with our franchises in between our major releases," Take Two president Karl Slatoff said, as quoted by Express. "The key factor to success with recurrent consumer spending is to provide consumers with incremental content that they value," he added.

"GTA V" PC is set to be released worldwide on January 27, 2015.
