'Covert Affairs' Season 4 Finale Spoilers: Auggie and Annie Face Catastrophe
As the dwindling autumn months make clear, all good things must come to an end. Summer’s over, and dead ahead are the long, bitter winter months. It will be sometime until summer returns, and the same goes for the hit series “Covert Affairs.” The Season 4 finale airs this Thursday, Nov. 21 on USA Network. Fans are dismayed. Fans are lost. What will they do without their favorite series to get through winter? No matter how devastating the blow, however, they’ll make it through until next season. Besides, there’s still one mind blowing finale episode remaining until catastrophe strikes. Enjoy it.
The finale will put an end to the ongoing battle between CIA agents Auggie Anderson (Christopher Gorham), Annie Walker (Piper Perabo) and Henry Wilcox (Gregory Itzin). While Gorham has mastered the art of dodging questions regarding the episode’s details, he does state in a recent interview that, “While Henry has been the focus of this season, the show has always been about Annie and her career and life experiences. Regardless of what happens at the end of each season, you can look forward to more about what Annie’s going through next year.”
Perabo adds that the final confrontation could be bloody as neither Auggie nor Annie are guarded with the protection of the CIA. Henry, on the other hand, has an entire private army at his disposal. But Perabo says that’s the least of their worries. The toll it takes on Auggie and Annie’s relationship is what will rock the finale.
“Part of the fallout is what it cost Auggie and Annie to hunt him down,” she says, adding that it could cost them their entire relationship. “Can she get back to what she was before? Can she salvage her relationship with Auggie?”
Their relationship has taken a serious toll throughout Season 4. Annie faked her death to go on a rogue mission to find Henry and Auggie even cheated on Annie with the wife he assumed to be dead. It’s unclear how the finale will leave their relationship, but it’s sure to be on every fans’ radar come Thursday night.
