EA Sports UFC Legends DLC: Brock Lesnar, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson Included
EA Sports has recently announced that current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and iconic Quinton "Rampage" Jackson will be featured in the new "Legends DLC Pack" for UFC.
Lesnar, according to Attack of the Fan Boy, is one of the featured fighters of the new game because he has already made a name when he started fighting for the UFC noting that the became the heavyweight champion in just a very short span of time.
"Not to mention Brock Lesnar was the biggest draw in UFC history. UFC 100 to this day is the most bought UFC PPV of all time garnering over 1.6 million buys worldwide," the same report added.
Seeing Lesnar in this new game has been considered "interesting" by many gamers since he is still currently signed with the WWE. Reports said that unlike Lesnar, other wrestlers are not allowed to appear in video games like this unless they are given approval. This is also aside from the fact that EA is a competitor to 2K Sports which releases the WWE 2K15 where Lesnar is also featured.
"Brock Lesnar is allowed to do his own thing even though he's still bound to a WWE contract. Other wrestlers don't have that much freedom to do this thing," Attack of the Fan Boy explained.
With his appearance in this EA Sports game, many fans speculated that Lesnar might be returning to the UFC in 2015 but that still remains to be proven.
Aside from Lesnar, Segment Next said that fans and games should also be ready for the Rampage. On its official Twitter page, EA Sports said that Jackson was introduced in the Legends pack after Mark Coleman, Matt Hughes and Lesnar.
Scoundrel Gaming said that Hughes became part of the DLC because of his impressive 45-9 record and his being a 9-time UFC champion.
"His run in the UFC as the welterweight champion is synonymous with greatness. Matt Hughes' mentor and trainer, Pat Miletich, may have been the pioneer of UFC's 170-pound division, but Hughes was the man who essentially built welterweight," Explosion added.
Coleman, on the other hand, is considered as the Godfather of Ground and Pound who is deserving to make a debut in this game pack.
The four legendary fighters will be featured in the game but the official release date of the pack has not yet been announced. It is reportedly expected to come out this month as a Christmas present from EA. As a gift, the game pack is free and available for Sony's PS4 and Microsoft's Xbox One.
This lineup of players is an exciting one for players anticipating the online as they will be witnessing the fighting prowess of these great fighters in the UFC.
