'Elementary' Season 2 Episode 9 Spoilers: Holmes and Watson Clash With NYPD
Sherlock is an elusive being. He’s everywhere. While his character spawned from the mystery novel series, he’s since been seen in movies, cartoons and now television. But mystery buffs and fellow fans don’t seem to mind. No matter where his nonlinear storyline takes him, his followers are with him every step of the way, cheering him on as he takes on London’s greatest villains. Since his origin his cases have become more action oriented and less reliant on deductive reasoning, but that comes naturally as cultural interests shift. Still, his fans remain diligent. Their devotion and loyalty has pegged him as the greatest private investigator of all time, and now that his television avatar has returned for the second season of “Elementary,” Sherlock continues to solve mysteries with unorthodox methods that can be more trouble than they’re worth.
In this week’s episode, titled “On the Line,” Holmes and Watson face off against the NYPD. After uncovering the identity of a serial killer whose case has gone cold, they run into issues with New York’s finest when they try and delve deeper.
