If you want to splurge on shoes this Christmas, LeBron 12 "Data" may be the perfect gift, either to yourself or to a loved one.

Available on Dec. 20 at $200 per pair, the latest model of the LeBron 12 line will be out in stores, as well as on Nike.com beginning 8:00 a.m. EST (5 a.m. PST) at a pair per customer.

A predominantly black pair of shoes with pops of Bright Mango, Volt and Hyper Punch, Nike.com says the shoes' genes fit and even improve on LeBron James' on-court ferocity in the NBA, resulting from his "extraordinary blend of strength, court vision, efficiency and explosive speed."

The website mentions that the LeBron 12 line also has advantages in the areas of superior cushioning, flexibility and support, all leading to stability and good performance.

According to Sneaker Watch, the graphic tie-dye lining in multiple colors also gives the shoes extra oomph, adding that even as the LeBron 12 variants are flooding the shoe marketplace, "...[W]e have no problem with that."

The dark upper covers the Megafuse and Hyperposite construction at the shoe's core, said Sneaker Bar Detroit. The shoe is finished off with an outsole that comes off like ice, covering an inner layer of varying colors.

The Sole Collector's comments section show positive remarks, one saying, "Might end up being my first pair of Lebron's." Another user said: "This colorway makes the shoe worth getting now tbh. It goes with the hex bottoms since it's multi colored. This is what Nike & LBJ need to produce more."

"The shoe looks so much better when accent colors are added to it, similar to the Jordan 6s," said iNEEDthose. "I think the shoe is pretty solid when most of it is one color and they arent trying to show that they added a giant piece of armor to the side by making it a completely different color. I will cop these, they're sick. Thats why most like the "Data" and "Instints"...Just a thought."

However, there is also a sprinkling of commenters not sold on the model.

SteeloNZ said: "I think these are awesome, but for me the Lebron 12 is a bit "extreme" to wear casually. Good luck to those who want to cop."

"Good color way..but still not doing it for me..," said DeeJayOhThree, meanwhile.

On Sneaker Watch it's also a mix of good and bad reviews, with a commenter saying, "I want these I wish lebron can give me one pair of lebron 12" and one other saying, "Still waiting on that right colorway LeBron...."

One user, seahawks, said the LeBron 11s are technically much better than the 12s, as another said "Data" looked like the Kobes. "Easy pass," said robbrob.
