HTC One M9 Release Date, Specs, Features & Price: QHD Screen For Smartphone; To Launch At MWC 2015 [Rumors]
Next year's Mobile World Congress could bring HTC's newest rumored flagship, the One M9, as today's rumors suggest. Digital Trends cited a report from China which dropped cues on the device's specs, such as a massive 5.5-inch screen. Allegedly, the display will feature a whopping resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, the QHD standard everybody seems to talk about at present.
You've heard it before: Apple's iPhone 6 Plus sported a 5.5-inch screen, powered by the eye-stunning technology that is Retina Display. This version of the Cupertino flagship took a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
One M9's processor could depend on the device's arrival, wrote Digital Trends. The outlet predicted that the handset takes either of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 805 or 810. In addition, 3 GB of RAM and 3500mAh battery were said to be likely components.
According to NDTV, HTC One M9's rumored specs appear to be in line with that of Samsung Galaxy Note 4's and Google / Motorola Nexus 6's. The source added that the model may also include 64 GB / 128 GB storage options, as well as a 16 MP main camera. The latter was said to brush off the then-packed UltraPixel technology.
The outlet also suggested that One M9's exterior architecture may be made of aluminum silicon-carbide composite. Reportedly, HTC's collaboration with audio brand Bose could take One M9's performance to the next level.
Meanwhile, Droid Life added that the model's 16 MP rear camera will sport OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). A microSD slot and a 32 GB storage option were other inclusions cited by the source.
GSMArena took note of another rumor which claims a "Prime" version for One M9. The model appears to replace HTC's One Max out of the phablet market, as reported by NDTV. Naturally, we can envision this model as a bigger version of the rumored M9.
Since One M9 is an apparent flagship, 3G.co.uk is convinced that the device retails expensively. According to the outlet, the model may sell between £500 - £600 or $786 - $943 (converted via Yahoo! Finance). The device is likely served with Android's sweetest OS yet, the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The Mobile World Congress happens in Barcelona, Spain on March 2 - 5, 2015, wrote Phone Arena. As we have previously noted, Samsung's Galaxy S6 is also speculated to come out in the event.
