Brazil vs. Chile Live Stream, Score, Preview, Prediction, Schedule: International Friendly 2013
Brazil and Chile will face off in a friendly on Tuesday.
This game will provide a solid test for both teams regarding where they stand prior to the World Cup. Brazil is coming off a 5-0 thumping of Honduras while Chile dominated England in a 2-0 win on Friday.
"There is no pressure on Brazil. Brazil are not under pressure to be the world champions. Brazil will be the champions," Coach Luis Felipe Scorali declared according to ESPN. "If I did not think we could win the World Cup, I wouldn't lead the team. I'd be sitting at home. If I came here, it's because I'm 100 percent convinced that I will succeed."
Regarding his recent victories, which also include destruction of Portugal and Australia, Scolari noted that it was essential to not put to much emphasis on the scorelines.
"I do not think 5-0 represents the reality of the game," Scolari added. "In a normal game between the two teams and the way we play, it could have been 2-0 or 3-0, but we exploited our chances. The result was good."
Chile is the most difficult opponent that Brazil has faced since defeating Spain in the Confederations Cup final. Chile drew 2-2 against Spain despite dominating most of that match and has looked like a top contender since qualifying. Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal are both enjoying terrific seasons for their respective clubs and could be major contributors for this team down the line.
Prediction: A surprise is likely in this match. Look for Scolari's recent comments to come back and haunt him as Chile wins 2-1 and reminds Brazil that there is still a lot of work to do.
Start Time: Kick off begins at 8 p.m. EST
