Taylor Swift Matt Healy Dating? New Boyfriend 'Exchanged Numbers' With Singer [Rumors]
When you're as big a star as Taylor Swift, you're bound to not stay single for too long. The 24-year-old "Shake It Off" singer stopped dating when One Direction band member, Harry Styles broke her heart over a year ago, but it seems that she is on her way to healing. At least that's what fans hoped for.
According to USA Today, Taylor may have had her eye on The 1975 member, Matt Healy these days, and she hasn't been that subtle in expressing her interest, either.
The website said that there are four signs that the country-turned-pop crooner is showing interest in Matt, and that included a) inviting his band on tour with her, b) she wore his band t-shirt in a way only TSwift can pull off, which he also reciprocated by wearing her album tee on one of his band's concerts, c) she went to his show and sang to all of his songs, and finally, d) she gave him her number.
Healy even said in an interview with Shazam Top 20, "I met Taylor Swift. That was really nice... We exchanged numbers, Let's see what happens... She's a sensation. I wouldn't say no (to going out)."
When Shazam host, Angus O'Loughlin suggested the possibility of Matt and Taylor being the "hot new celebrity couple," the 25-year-old Matt joked, "You're calling that, are you? Let's just see what happens."
Matt wasn't the only one who seemed to be nursing a crush. When she went to his concert with BFF Selena Gomez, Taylor posted a video from her Instagram account which panned between the girls and the stage. Taylor then captioned it flirtatiously with a line from The 1975's hit single, "The City," reading: "Yeah you wanna find love? Then you know where the city is."
However, as far as official relationships go, Taylor and Matt aren't there yet. She and Matt may be supportive of each other's careers, but that's about it. In an interview while promoting her last album, Taylor told E! News that she's content being single for now. She shared, "I'm really happy about the fact that being single doesn't feel like being alone. I have love in my life, I just don't have a relationship, and that feels really natural right now. It's not that [I've sworn off dating] as much as I'm just very protective of my happiness. I found a place in my life that feels really great and I'm not willing to compromise that for just anyone."
That seems to be a good and mature decision for Taylor's part, but what do you think of a Taylor-Matt tandem, won't they make an adorable couple?
