Slovenia vs. Canada Live Score, Preview, Prediction, Schedule: International Friendly 2013

By Staff Reporter| Nov 19, 2013

Canada and Slovenia will face off in an international friendly Tuesday.

Canada is on a disastrous winless streak that was recently extended to 13 after Friday's 2-0 loss against the Czech Republic. The Canadians have not won since Oct. 12 against Cuba in the World Cup qualifiers. The team then lost 8-1 against Honduras and was eliminated; the team has been on a consistent losing streak since. In January, the team was torched 4-0 by Denmark before it managed a sigh of relief in a 0-0 draw with the United States. In March, Japan took down Canada 2-1; a few days later Belarus got a 2-0 win over the Canadians. Costa Rica was the next team to earn a 1-0 win over Canada; Mexico followed with a 2-0 win. Canada got a few draws against Panama and Mauritania but then lost 1-0 against Mauritania in September. Canada then gave Australia the chance to break its losing streak with a 3-0 victory over them, while the Czech Republic followed that up with a 2-0 win against Canada as well.

Slovenia has four wins and four losses in 2013 and suffered a 1-0 loss against Switzerland in the final game of qualifiers.

This is the first ever match between these two teams.
