Samsung Galaxy S3 Update Release Date: Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Rollout Stopped Due to Technical Problems
In light of major technical problems, Samsung has officially stated that it's pulled the Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update from the air.
This isn't the first time we've heard of this — reports began flooding in that the Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 rollout had bene suspended as early as Nov. 12. Still, this is the first official comment Samsung has made on the matter, and it finally puts to rest the question of what has happened to the Galaxy S3 Android 4.3 update.
According to one Facebook user by the name of Matt Smith, Samsung Mobile UK sent him the following message:
"Thank you for contacting Samsung Customer Support.
I apologise that you have been experiencing issues with your Samsung Galaxy S III after the most recent update to JB 4.3, I understand this must be frustrating as updating should be an easy process.
As we are currently investigating the reported issues with Galaxy S3 4.3 Jelly Bean update, the upgrading service has been temporarily suspended.
We are committed to providing customers with the best possible mobile experience, and will ensure to resume the upgrading service at the earliest possibility.
Once the issues have been resolved an update will be released to get your device back in working order.
If you require any further assistance, please contact Samsung again and we will be more than happy to help.

As you can see, Samsung provides no new release time frame, and it's now clear why certain Galaxy S3s still haven't received the update. Expect Samsung to roll out a fix as soon as possible since Android 4.3 brings Bluetooth 4.0 LE support, a necessity for full connectivity with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
