Air Jordan Release Dates 2014: AJ 13 Retro 'Cement Grey' Available Nov. 15; Price, Photos & Where to Buy

The Air Jordan nostalgia is finally ending as Nike brings you the real thing again. This time, however, prepare to keep that cash from burning a hole in your pocket.

The Air Jordan 13 Retro will make a comeback with its newest colorway "Cement Grey." First sampled up in 1998 ("Grey Toe," which was released again in 2005), the "Cement Grey" features a white leather quilted upper body, grey leather toe box and cascades of red suede up the ankle onto the midsole, Nike said on its website.

According to Sneaker Files, basketball superstar Michael Jordan's panther-like gameplay on the basketball court lives on with the soles inspired by panther paws, as well as the hologram — where one can see alternating images of the number 23, a basketball and the Jumpman logo — perched at the ankle area, which deliberately imitates a panther's eye in the dark when light is shone at them.

Air Jordan 13 Retro "Cement Grey" will be available in full family sizes on Nov. 15 at Nike's online store for $185 — the most expensive of all the Air Jordan 13 Retros. (This excludes the $310 Countdown Pack released in 2008 which contains Air Jordan 13 and Air Jordan 10.)

Sneakernews.com reported that unlike the 1998 and 2005 designs, the new AJ 13 Retro's red suede won't bleed onto the white midsole since the midsole is painted.

AJ aficionados differ in their impressions about the newest AJ 13 Retro re-release.

User "PAPOUCHE," who admitted not being a fan of AJ 13s, commented on Hypebeast: "I can see these being integrated into a lot of different alphets (outfits). Very versatile and will be very slept on."

However, sneakers fans said the retail price was a turn down.

"That price tag is throwing me off. On the fence about copping these," user "Time2ballup" posted on the comments thread of Solecollector.com.

User "JMD" said on Wearstarters.com: "I really want these but I'm sick of working so hard trying to give Jordan my money only to end up ... shoeless."

According to Sneaker Files, five models and two low models of the Air Jordan 13 were released between 1997 and 1998 for $150 and $130, respectively. Six colorways were released for both high and low models in 2004-2005 for the same prices.

The Jordan Brand re-released AJ 13 in the end of 2010, which included French Blue/Flint Grey, White/Red-Black, "Playoff'" and Black/Altitude Green colorways.

The original AJ 13 was worn by Jake Shuttlesworth (played by Denzel Washington) on the film "He Got Game" in 1998, according to Nicekicks.com.
