Nokia Lumia 1520 Price, Release Date, Specs: AT&T Online Offers Phone for $99.99 [Video]
Looks like the Holiday shopping season might have arrived early for mobile carrier AT&T. AT&T cut the price of the Lumia 1520 smartphone from $199.99 to $99.99 as long as the consumer signs a two-year contact with the mobile carrier.
The price cut is a web-exclusive deal as the device is not available in stores yet. According to AT&T, the Lumia 1520 will begin its shipments on Nov. 19, however, it is unknown if the $99.99 price tag will expire once the date arrives.
AT&T's other contract plans do not offer much of a discount. AT&T's one-year contract does not have a web special. It will cost the consumer $449.99.
The month-to-month option with AT&T will cost the consumer $584.99, which is the full price for the Lumia 1520.
The mobile carrier is also offering the Lumia 1520 as part of the AT&T Next plan. With the plan, the consumer can obtain the Lumia 1520 by making $27 monthly payments toward the carrier.
The Lumia 1520 is also available on the online Microsoft Store. The price for the Windows Phone 8 smarthpone is higher than on AT&T's official website. The Lumia 1520 is offered for $199 on the online Microsoft Store when the consumer signs a two-year contract with AT&T. The no-contract price is $549. According to the online Microsoft Store, the Lumia 1520 will not be shipped until Nov. 22.
The Lumia 1520 was reported to begin its launch on Nov. 22, but anxious Windows Phone customers can take advantage of the AT&T deal now.
The Lumia 1520 features a screen size of 6 inches with 1,920x1,080 resolution. The camera specifications for the device include a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels.
The Lumia 1520 will only be available in a 32GB internal storage model, even though the Microsoft Store has a 16GB variant. The device has 2GB of RAM and offers a microSD card slot for an additional 64GB of storage.
The battery capacity for the Lumia 1520 stands at 3,400mAh, which offers up to 25.1 hours for talk time in a 3G network, and approximately 780 hours on standby.
The Lumia 1520's deal on AT&T's official website comes as the mobile carrier also reduced the price of the Lumia 1020. As Latino Post reported, AT&T reduced the price of the Lumia 1020 to $99.99.
