With the UFC 184 set on Feb. 28, at the Los Angeles' Staples Center, middleweight champion Chris Weidman's opponent, Vitor Belfort, has just been recently subjected to a drug testing procedure after Weidman questioned the latter's testosterone replacement therapy.

On Saturday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) collected blood and urine samples from Belfort who is currently staying and training in Florida. An MMA Junkie report indicated that the drug test results will be available in two weeks.

This would give the commission enough time to decide on matters concerning the fight whatever the results of the test may yield. The fight, which was originally scheduled for the UFC 181 this December had to be moved because Weidman broke his hand.

Prior to this schedule, the two have already agreed to fight last May at UFC 173 but Belfort was not allowed to fight following the commission's decision to ban the therapy he is currently taking. MMA Junkie said that Weidman had to push through a fight with Lyoto Machida which he unanimously won.

Due to the condition of Belfort, Weidman became worried that their fight will be affected by his continuous testosterone replacement therapy.

On his Twitter account, Weidman shared his concern on Belfort's drug use issue. "Weidman-Belfort = 120 days away Fight 1st announced = 100 days ago No. of times VB has been tested = 0 No. of times he'll be tested = ???" he tweeted.

He later followed this controversial tweet with the statement "For the record, won't help him if he's on everything under the sun, I'll still be champ come March 1. What's right is right tho."

Now, the waiting for the result begins and this will definitely be a very crucial deciding factor on the two fighters' MMA careers.

Meanwhile, the Ronda Rousey and Cat Zingano match will be the co-main event of UFC 184 as the UFC announced that the two will finally meet next year after some unexpected delays in their matchup, a separate MMA Junkie article said.

Last year, the two female contenders were scheduled to clash but Zingano suffered a knee injury followed by the death of her husband. This fight will be her second fight after she made a comeback on the ring last month against Amanda Nunes. Zingano was the TKO victor of the fight, proving that she has what it takes to beat Rousey to the ground.

For her part, Rousey has already proven to the world how extreme of a fighter she can be, but MMA Junkie said that she should still be prepared for Zingano's strength and supplexes which could really be lethal and could lead to an unexpected win for the latter.

Tickets for UFC 184 could be purchased online through the UFC website where you can also access live streaming links of the fight.
