James 'Bond 24' 2015 Release Date, Cast & News: Kate Upton, Rihanna The Next Bond Girls? Daniel Radcliffe Eager to Play Villain [Rumors]
The newest "James Bond" film is set to begin production November of this year and there is a lot of buzz around new cast additions including possible Bond Girls.
According to various reports, Grammy-winning singer Rihanna may be taking on the iconic sexy role. Enstarz reports that the "We Found Love" singer could play opposite Daniel Craig (James Bond) or be the artist behind the theme song for the new flick.
The site does add that Adele may be returning following the massive success of "Skyfall" but producers are said to be keeping their options open.
Aside from Rihanna, 26, British runway model Cara Delevingne, 22, is also said to be in the running and "could win out due to her rising stardom."
That's not all. Another name being tossed in the Bond Girl rumor mill is 22-year-old Swimsuit Illustrated model Kate Upton. Upton has expressed her interest to play the role, but it would require quite a bit of effort to prepare for the character.
"It's a very prestigious title, and it would be a very cool role. I would need to go through some intense training to learn all the Bond Girl moves," quoted The Inquisitr of Upton.
All three ladies have acting experience with Rihanna having logged a lot of screen time on 2012 film "Battleship." Delevingne has an on-going project with Hugh Jackman on "Pan" while Kate Upton recently starred in "The Other Woman" with Leslie Mann and Cameron Diaz.
New James Bond Villain?
"Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe has been doing a lot of projects that are worlds away from the fantasy series that made his name. After stage performances and a number of movies, Radcliffe seems eager to take on a major action film franchise.
During a Reddit AMA on Monday, Radcliffe talked about doing James Bond and noted how he sees himself more of a villain than the suave secret agent 007.
"The villain. 100%. I think it's generally more interesting, and honestly, more what I'm suited for, to be honest. I don't see myself necessarily - I mean, I know there was a lot of action in Potter and I liked those sequences, but I don't think of myself as a natural action star," confessed the Brit.
Stay tuned for more news on "Bond 24." Catch the film when it hits theaters next year, Nov. 6, 2015.
